There are only two differences between Development and Production mode: the maximum size of your source files when performing a task, and the number of tasks you can perform in parallel. You can upload as large a source file as you like, however you only may be able to use a portion of that source when performing a task in BigML. The following table summarizes system-imposed limits in Development and Production modes:

Note: you can use BigML for free in both working modes when tasks are under 16 MB each.
