There are three main differences between FREE and PRIME modes: the maximum size of your source files when performing a task (you can upload as large a source file as you like, however, you only may be able to use a portion of that source when performing a task in BigML), the number of tasks you can perform in parallel, and whether your tasks are queued or not. The following table summarizes the system-imposed limits in FREE and PRIME modes:
Limitations | FREE mode | PRIME mode |
---|---|---|
Max. Task Size | 16 MB | 64 MB, 1 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, 32 GB, or 64 GB* |
Parallel Tasks | 2 | 2, 4, 8, 16, 32, or 64* |
Queue | Tasks may be queded | Tasks are not queded |
*The task size limit and the number of parallel tasks in PRIME mode, as well as for the exceptional free subscriptions granted by the BigML Team, vary per subscription plan. Check the differences here.
Note: In PRIME mode your tasks will start immediately or will be queued only for a very limited time period while we auto-scale for you. Please read this if you want to upgrade your subscription to any of our PRIME subscriptions.
